The Dallas News recently caught up with Jerry Jones to get his take on Tony Romo’s recent performance. His answer was that Tony Romo is the right guy now, and for the long-term as the team's quarterback.

According to the article, Jones then said he hasn't talked to Romo this week because he's been in New York for some meetings but he thinks the three-interception performance last week against the Giants was more aberration than norm. "I think it’s particularly true about a quarterback and it's true about all of us," Jones said. "How you respond when it's not going good for you is the difference maker. I think it's the difference maker away from the football field. In football very few days are really good days. It's just the nature of the sport. Most of the time you're not happy with how you're doing and you don't feel good. That's just the nature of the game. So when good things happen we should hang on, and appreciate it, because that will give you the will to go through the bad times. He's had some great days. We know some day he'll have the greatest day of all."

After Jones said this, a reporter immediately seized the opportunity to ask if he felt that Romo will eventually win a Superbowl.

His answer was as follows=, “I do. To the extent I feel like that will happen. It is in no small part due to his skill level because of his ability to come back from adversity [and] because of his hard work. That will be one of the big reasons we get it done."
