Oprah's Sweepstakes

Oprah Winfrey is definitely known for her generosity as well as for interviewing an endless list of the most influential people in the world. She is loved by many, and hated by few. She recently had a couple of sweepstakes on her website that caught our attention here at Interactive Promotions Group.

The first sweepstakes from her website encouraged participants to embrace the kid in them. It caught the reader’s attention by asking if they remembered their childhood best friend. The opening said:

“Ah, childhood. Life was fun. Fun was your life. And you truly felt alive. Let us take you back to those happy-go-lucky days. Take the quiz, play Fad Face-Off, relive favorite recipes and let the kid in you come out to play. It's all here!”
This immediately brought bout some form of nostalgia and allowed the readers to briefly relive the stress free life of a child.

The next sweepstakes contest was titled: “Who Inspires You To Live Beautifully?” It invited participant to share a personal description of someone who uplifts and inspires them. It could be their sister, teach, boss or husband. According to the sweepstakes website, there were seven lucky winners who received a fabulous collection of O List items, and a Bali bra set designed to make them feel beautiful.
